When Jenna came by to leave the boys while she went to a wedding rehearsal this evening, I quickly snapped a picture of her. She’s a little over 2 months away from the big delivery! Can’t wait to take some real maternity pics of her

Today John and I were honored to be a part of sharing in celebration with friends who…after long faith tested years…have adopted the little bundle of joy who came into their lives 5 years ago…Nevaeh. If you look really closely, you may realize that her name is Heaven spelled backwards! She is full of personality, she is beautiful, and she is theirs! And today, they dedicated her to the Lord before their church family who have prayed long and hard for this miracle. God is good! His ways are perfect!

Thanks to Sarah who asked me to help her shoot this wonderful family. They were so fun to watch interact with one another. And I was blessed to hear not one word of complaining from ANYONE….including children or dad :) although it was a scorching evening!
I still have some tweaking to do, but here are a few first edits.
[for this one, you will have to click each thumbnail individually and then hit your back button and then the next thumbnail....and so on] Enjoy!

I’ve been at Jenna’s everyday this week helping her organize her new home….it’s been so much fun watching everything fall into place. I tell you, the light in her home is gorgeous…it just doesn’t get much better! I could shoot there all day :) Today we worked in her bedroom. The pics start with Karis and her mom coming over to pick up some moving boxes, then Brenton receiving his pool toy birthday gifts from Uncle Joel and Aunt Kate, and Trey being PaPa’s helper.

I had fun hanging out at the Swimming Hall of Fame today where a sweet family from my hometown traveled 1200 miles to watch their 14 year old daughter swim the 50 meter freestyle in the YMCA Nationals.
It’s my first attempt at this kind of thing……lots to learn here….but was happy to have the opportunity to slide into the VIP section with the
family and snap away. Thank you Montgomery’s!
If you’re interested you can scroll down and watch me play with water pics taken in high noon sun[not my favorite light to shoot in, but it's always good to be stretched]……but be warned…..there are ALOT!

haven’t a clue who these last few people are….but I do recognize the photog in the last one :)

How many times when my girls were little
did I hear them yell out “punch buggy
don’t punch back !” when they spied a VW bug…
and then proceeded to punch one another in the arm.
My nephew’s family purchased this adorable VW convertible last summer.
They’re calling it their summer car…

With three kids in the family, it looks like a lot of fun.
[I removed the license plate number to protect the family, but..oh...it adds so much to this pic]

And here’s another one from this fun, colorful shoot.

And just one more….a couple more….

God blessed me with 3 WONDERFUL girls!
THIS GIRL is back hitting the books……I miss her…..When she comes home for semester breaks, I always take a mini vacation too…we hang out at the beach, eat chicken tostado salads at Zona Fresca together, go to movies and share buckets of popcorn, have deep conversations about how we both want to be more like Christ and encourage one another to do so when we see each other slipping. She goes to work with me and helps so we can spend more time doing things we like to do like drive through Starbucks and take rides and cook together and shop and pop in to visit her little nephews. Most of all, she encourages me by extending unconditional love to me. I love this girl!

This was my one of my favorite photo sessions ever….the light was right….the place was great….and…what can I say….my little guys and their parents were the subjects :)
Here are a few pics that didn’t make the cut for the Christmas card………………and there are so many other great ones too. I’ll be back to add to this post, for sure!

I could hardly wait to get home from my trip up north to take a look at editing these pics of my nephew’s family. A BIG “thank you” to the whole family for giving me an opportunity to further build my portfolio. The color and energy made this shoot a lot of fun. I’ll be posting more pics as I find time to edit them, so check back from time to time :)
